What Is Counselling

How Can Counselling Help Me?

Counselling is a way of enabling choice, change or finding clarity. It is a powerful way to connect with yourself, with no external judgement.
It is focused upon supporting you in exploring your own inner guidance, identifying tools and resources in a way that builds confidence to make the most suitable choices and decisions for you. It does not involve giving advice or directing a client to take a particular course of action.
By listening effectively, I can begin to understand the difficulties from your point of view and can help you to see things more clearly, possibly from a different perspective.

Counselling sessions provide a safe supportive space to feel free to work through what is troubling you, talking about them freely and openly in a way that may not be possible with friends or family. Held or built-up feelings such as anger, anxiety, grief and embarrassment can become very intense and counselling offers an opportunity to explore them, with the possibility of making them easier to understand and overcome.

You will be welcomed without judgement, to a safe environment where we can work through any issues you want to address, reducing anxiety, stress, improving relationships and re-discovering inner confidence.
